Winds of Change
Ongoing

Winds of Change exhibits an array of genuine, yet symbolic occurrences
captured on the Isle of North Uist, situated off the north-west coast of
Scotland. The island is home to around 1,619 people, and hosts some
of the rarest eco-systems in Europe.
The island’s biodiversity and adjacent marine life are under critical threat, from the diseases that spread through local factory fish farming, to the navigation disturbances from military sonar that trigger whale strandings. Its low-lying environment is also exposed to the global rise in sea level and intensified storms, suffering from coastal erosion, flooding and devastatingly, in some cases, submergence.
It is imperative that humans, as part of the global population, responsibly establish an alternate path to protect the land, sea and sky and consequently, ourselves.
